Tevie Miller Pre-K/Kindergarten Program
Tevie Miller Pre-K/Kindergarten Program provides educational programming for students from 2-1/2 to 5-1/2 years of age. Students qualify for Program Unit Funding and have been diagnosed Speech and Language delays, disorders or disabilities. The learning environment is characterized by a collaborative class model including a Teacher, Education Assistants, a Speech-Language Pathologist and an Occupational Therapist, as required. Each child has an Individual Program Plan which emphasizes speech, language and social skill goals. The Pre-K/Kindergarten learning environment is made up of two programs which embed language learning and communication throughout the day.
The Pre-K Program is a half-day, play-based preschool program for students in their first or second year of programming. Class sizes range from 8 to 10 students. The Kindergarten Program is a full-day program which follows the Kindergarten Program of Studies with an emphasis on early literacy and numeracy. Class sizes range from 14 to 16 students.
